So is anyone else as disappointed in Flash Gordon as I am?

OK, I have given it weeks, and weeks and weeks. I was SO excited that Flash Gordon was going to get the Sci-Fi Channel treatment. But talk about a miserable disappointment... not enough ray guns, WAY too much angst. And NO spaceships? NONE? Going to Mongo appears to be about as difficult as hopping the subway (and about as interesting) and although according to the completely gutted and silly character Zarkov too much travel "could shatter the Universe"... well... they do it a LOT.

I gave up when Flash, Dale and Belen were sitting around a table at his friend's wedding, talking about "meaningful things" while the angst-y teen music played in the background. Don't get me wrong I LIKE Belen, but honestly, I can see her with Flash more easily than Dale. Which is a real problem.

And Zarkov - he was supposed to be basically an "older" Flash. Smart, athletic, handsome. This guy.. I mean I actively DISLIKE him. I find myself ROOTING for Ming - now that just isn't right. And the whole show is scene after scene of talk, talk , talk. I mean, good grief, Sci Fi canceled Dresden Files but promotes THIS schlock? Talk about a let down.

I guess it's time to pin my hopes on Bionic Woman.

The wait is over

That's right, tonight is the premiere of season 3.5 of Battlestar Galactica! Will they find the eye of Jupiter? What will happen to Starbuck? What about Apollo's marriage? And will the cylons interfere. hurt or help in the race to find humanity?

I can't wait!!!

We're having spaghetti with garlic bread to eat for dinner while we watch :) Also we're excited about the new Dresden files - hopefully it will also be good, and I'll have a new show to watch on Sundays.

Time keeps on slippin...

It's the FINAL countdown :

8 days til the Battlestar Galactica premiere
8 days til the Dresden Files premiere
4 days til the American Idol premiere
And of course, I Love New York on Monday nights (what an outstanding train wreck!)

Now if I only knew when Dr. Who was starting back up, I could be really happy. This is going to be the big 'Watchin TV week' for me!

(Oh - how many songs did I get stuck in your head from this post? You're welcome!)
