Well, OK, maybe it's not THAT big a deal. But with the upgrade of Internet Explorer and the release of Vista, more people will be exposed to RSS feeds than ever before. Wired has a great article about ways to "supersize" your RSS experience - by rolling your own feeds, getting your feed delivered by SMS or email, and so forth. My favorite tool is feedburner - the amount of things you can do with any feed boggles the mind!
I think the most important point of the article is that, with RSS now fully integrated into the browser, the casual user is ready to discover RSS for themselves. Sure tech junkies like me have been using it for years, but now my mom will be able to subscribe and actually use an RSS feed without making a frantic call to me. And that is a Good Thing ™
