You know, I actually enjoyed it! It's not nearly as bad as the reviews would have you think - being a marvel girl at heart I'm always up for a little drama and angst, and this movie certainly provides on that score. Watching Peter Parker go all "Saturday Night Fever" was a riot also - but as always, what really made the movie for me were he special effects.
I'd have to say that the best villain award goes to the Sandman. I don't know why, but Venom just didn't appeal to me... and no offense meant, but I never got the "evil" vibe from Topher Grace. He just seemed like your common average jerk. Not "evil". And as for Mary Jane Watson... I really started to get annoyed with her character. The fights were fantastic, and it really sped right by. Didn't hurt that I got to watch it with good friends, either :) We all sat and talked about it afterwards, and decided it was pretty good.
Now I'm all psyched up for the Transformers!

Silver Surfer Quarters
So.. in yet another viral marketing manuever in the summer movie wars, 40,000 silver surfer quarters have been slipped into circulation (try saying THAT three times fast)
What intrigues me is the contest behind it - find one in your change and you're entered to win a trip, a private screening and other fabulous prizes :) You can also visit the website, http://www.riseofthesilversurfer.com/, to flip a "virtual coin" with the chance to win additional instant prizes.
As for the silver surfer himself - will he still be the Herald of Galactus? Will the Fantastic Four be able to save earth (well, duh, it is a movie)... find out June 15th. Hopefully this movie will be at least as good as the original - I love a good summer sci-fi flick.
