Man, that was an outstanding Thanksgiving.
Everyone had a great time, and for once I didn't run myself ragged trying to make a Norman Rockwell thanksgiving - which, oddly enough, meant that I finally had one! Dad was playing cards with my nephew, everyone sat around telling jokes and stories, and the girls all washed dishes before settling in to decide where to go shopping.
Wistful sigh - that was as close to perfect as I'm likely to get!
The next morning I was up at 6am and on the road by 7 to meet my brother's in-laws for a morning of hardcore Black Friday shopping. I've never had anyone to shop with before so that was the BEST. By 6pm I was home again, safe and sound, presents in tow and totally exhausted - but in a GOOD way. And Saturday I had the house all to myself, to wrap gifts and sneak in a bit of online gaming.
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful too!
