I'm so glad I'm settled..

..because honestly, I love my sweetie and I can't even BEGIN to figure out how I would stand to date these days. I was talking to one of my friends who just got engaged this week (CONGRATS JUSTIN AND LEIAH! And forgive me if I spelled a name wrong- I'm a lousy speller) and I realized how tough it is to find someone in this crazy, work-all-day-and-night world. Justin and Leiah met at work, and how lucky and blessed it's been for both of them :) I'm watching the mail for my invitations!

My kid brother met his wife of almost three years now through an online dating service, but that just seems pricey for the most part. Although there are some free alternatives popping up, like PlentyOfFish and JustSayHi. Of the two, JustSayHi looks more professional to me, and they advertise themselves as being really free - they don't require a credit card, ever, which is not something a lot of these 'free' dating services can match. I really liked the well-designed interface (very Web 2.0), and especially the 'Meet someone within X miles' feature. After all, the perfect person might be in a town you haven't heard of, so giving it a miles radius would seem to be the better option in my opinion. I may just have to throw a link to JustSayHi.com to a few of my single friends!
