Shyamali Malakar: Almost an Idol

I'm ceaselessly amazed at the Internet celebrities who rise out of the American Idol phenomenon. One of these would of course be Shyamali Malakar, Sanjaya's sister who is rocketing to the top of the Internet searches. Just check out the Yahoo Buzz Index - there she is, climbing like crazy. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's very attractive and can sing moderately well, plus she has the sympathy vote for folks who thought she should have been in the finals rather than her brother.

How long until she gets a recording contract? Hard to say... but I guarantee you she will profit from all of the attention.
