This time of the year, as the seasons change and the days start to shorten, I get restless. I want to go visit new places, learn things, explore new cultures. So I try hunting up a good travel guide. And I found a nice one today - RealTravel.com is more than just a standard "book a hotel" travel site.
One thing I liked was their free travel blog service. If you are planning a trip, you can get a free hosted travel blog. Set up your itinerary, post pictures and entries about the places you've visited. They even have a way for you to plot your stops on a world map which I really thought was nice. And the main website features different blogs so that you can get a real feel for the experiences of fellow travelers.
Of course they do have the more traditional services - message boards, activity planners, price comparisons and so on. If you're like me and are feeling a bit of wanderlust as the seasons march on, then I recommend you check out RealTravel.com. It might be just the site to cure your end-of-summer blues.
