OK I am in LOVE with Bionic Woman

Not because of the star, but because of Katee Sackhoff's amazing performance. Any sci-fi series is really only as strong as the villain they introduce - and this is such a strong character with so much complexity that I can't wait to see what happens every week. What a shame that Flash Gordon couldn't have learned this lesson; and how exciting to have another "Oh I gotta see this!" TV show to watch.

My week in TV now looks something like this:

Monday
- "Chuck" - guilty pleasure :)

Wednesday
- Bionic Woman
- Ghost Hunters

Friday
- Doctor Who (though this week is the season finale - BOO)

Saturday
- Torchwood - I LOVE this show

Disappointments for the season

Journeyman - for some reason it's just too damn depressing for me. I know some people are nuts about it, I'm just not one of them. Go figure. All I can think about when I watch it is "Did they hire this guy because he looked like Michael Anthony Hall or in spite of it?" It's like Quantum Leap + Dead Zone. Mind you, I LIKE the Dead Zone.

Flash Gordon - Mongo 90210 is probably my LEAST favorite scifi show in the last five years. And no, I won't watch it just to see the BSG: Razor promos. I watched 3 episodes already that I can never erase from my mind. Can't be canceled soon enough. My luck, it will have a five year run. And is it wrong that now I blame Flash Gordon for nuking my other favorite show, Dresden Files which has been canceled because apparently studio execs are insane and/or stupid? Cancel this show, bring back Dresden Files, be my favorite network forever.

Things I bet you're surprised I don't watch

Heroes - I am the only person I know that isn't watching. I know it's an amazing show but at some point last year I was like, I can NOT follow another heavy, dark show. Heroes is the show I stopped watching, because not watching BSG was unthinkable. Maybe I will catch it on DVD - but it isn't like they need another viewer or they'll be off the air.

Well that's what I'm watching - what about you?
