Warm and wonderful

What a treat! Well after a busy, busy weekend I woke up this morning to a warm (if cloudy) day :) It's almost 60 degrees here in the Cleveland area which is WAY out of the norm. We expect tomorrow to be much the same before things go back to the normal cold, snowy and gray days of January. I'm just tickled that I can go outside without a coat for a change... I may get Nyoka on her leash and go out for a walk later.

Well, from sunny and 85 we go to rainy and 65 - but to be honest I'm not really minding it. It's been a wee bit humid lately, so I can deal with the rain "washing out" the air. Better still it cuts the pollen which was definitely getting thick for my taste.

DOH! Now I have to go pull the fan out of the bedroom window - crud!

Oh FINALLY...

Well, today I sat out on my porch, had a cold coke, and relaxed in the now-temperate weather. After several false starts, it seems that spring has finally arrived! I've thrown open all the windows, turned off the furnace (hopefully for good this time!) and am basking in the sunlight and the little bits of tiny green leaves that are emerging on my maples.

It's funny how often we all are so busy 'looking forward' or 'looking back' that we don't appreciate what we have right now. Today was in my mind, a perfect day. But I still found myself wondering about tomorrow's weather! Somehow, I have to stop doing that and learn to relish the moment.
